About Housing Denmark

The history

Housing Denmark was founded by Steen Lundsfryd in September 2004. After long and thorough research of the market and the business Steen Lundsfryd prepared a business plan based on creating a new housing mediation company which was different, more effective and modern. We are constantly struggling to deliver more than you expect.

The company started in the private villa at Tjellesensvej in Espergærde. Later on the villa was sold and the company moved to a property at Strandvejen in Klampenborg. With more employees the apartment was not spacious any longer and the company moved to a former embassy housing at Henningsens Alle in Hellerup. In 2009 inspired by both employees, landlords and tenants Steen Lundsfryd chose to move the company to “the real estate quarter” at Strandvejen in Hellerup – this time with a high degree of exposure and a nice office in street level with the real estates. In spring Housing Denmark took over the insolvent company Scandia Housing which made another moving necessary – this time to newly appointed premises further down at Strandvejen in Hellerup, as space was needed for more new employees who were all ready and “dressed” to follow in the footsteps of the largest housing mediator in Denmark.

Since 2004 the company has grown bigger year by year, and today Housing Denmark is the leading company in the market.
