About the area

Hellerup is a fantastic city, just about 8 km north of Copenhagen City. Hellerup is the finer end, but here is room for everyone.

Here you find almost everything. Harbor, beach, forest, parks, shopping and a nice atmosphere. Here, it is relatively quiet, although the Strandvejen can be a bit busy during the summer because everybody wants to go north to the many beaches and natural areas. Hellerup is located right in the middle of Copenhagen and city life, and then north where it is so beautiful. Within a few kilometers you find Charlottenlund Fort, Bellevue Strand, Bernstoff Castle/Park and Bakken amusement park.

Hellerup is known for its good schools (private schools and international schools) and institutions, and here also 2 high schools.
Here is really child friendly. Lots of playgrounds, Experimentarium is perfect for all ages, and here are many sports and activities. There are many good events. The library offers a lot of different thing, but also Gentofte Night (like the Culture Night) is a returning event.

Hellerup Station is centrally located and connects almost all S-trains, as well as Kystbanen. It takes 10 min. by train to Copenhagen Center, and trains run all the time. Here are also many good bus connections.
It's easy to cycle around in Hellerup, also reasonably fast to cycle into the city if the weather is for it.

Strandvejen is a central place in Hellerup, and is best characterized by the many shops, icecream shops and cozy cafes and restaurants. Here is also a small pub, Sankt Peder, which is very popular for their food and cozy atmosphere, for both young and old. Especially in the summer. Restaurant Esther's is also hugely popular.

It is primarily villa, terraced houses and old, beautiful apartment complexes found in Hellerup. Not really the very big overwhelming buildings.

You must live in Hellerup if you want to live centrally, yet be close to everything. It is really the perfect location on the map.
