Frederiksberg
Here you have a district with lots of green areas, parks and historic buildings. But you also have city life with a myriad of specialty shops and restaurants.
Frederiksberg garden, which is perhaps Frederiksberg's largest gathering point, is well visited by both running, walking, families, young and old. You understand that well when you move in there. Here are both playgrounds, streams, Frederiksberg castle and look into the elephants in the Zoo. At one end of the garden you have the Frederiksberg roundabout where in the winter there is an ice rink and in the summer there is everything from circus to flea market. By the garden you will also find the small gardens and several good restaurants.
In continuation of Frederiksberg garden you have Frederiksberg Allé which is perhaps one of the most beautiful Alléer in Denmark, this is is framed all the way by beautiful trees. On Frederiksberg Allé you have both peace and quiet when you walk down the wide sidewalks, but at the same time a lot of small shops and restaurants. If you take the trip down Frederiksberg Allé, you have the fantastic Værnedamsvej, which has become a staple in itself due to the French atmosphere, with cozy sidewalk cafes, restaurants, flower shops and other specialty shops.
Frederiksberg municipality also does a lot for the city, with various activities for both children and adults, some of the things that attract the most people are Shrovetide with drumming, Christmas tree lighting with song and Frederiksberg flea market that takes place behind the town hall every Saturday and here is the opportunity to find new as old.
You can get lost in this district if you first go around. Here is lots of History with both the Old Carlsberg as new becomes a whole district in itself. Old royal road which in its time was built so that the nobles had their own road from Copenhagen to Roskilde. The octagonal Frederiksberg church designed by a French architect and much more.
