Gentofte is a lovely town app. 10 km north of Copenhagen City. Gentofte is in the finer end, but here is space for everyone.

Here you find almost everything. Harbor, beach, forest, parks, shopping and a nice atmosphere. Here are within a few kilometers Charlottenlund Fort, Bellevue Strand, Bernstoff Castle/Park. Strandvejen, nice harbor, Ordrupgaard, Experimentarium and Bakken.

Gentofte is known for its good schools (private schools and international schools) and institutions, and here also 2 high schools in the area.
Here is really child friendly. Lots of playgrounds, and here are many sports and leisure activities. There are many great activities and events. The library offers many things, Gentofte Night (like the Culture Night) is a returning thing.

Gentofte has 1 train station and Hellerup Station is very close, and is a big point for trains and buses. It takes about 15 min. by train to get to Copenhagen City.
It's easy and safe to cycle around in Gentofte, and also pretty fast to cycle into the city if the weather is nice.

It is primarily villa, terraced houses and old, beautiful apartment complexes found in Gentofte. Not really the very big overwhelming buildings.
You must live in Gentofte if you want to live perfectly in a mix of nature and city, yet be close to Copenhagen. It's really a perfect location on the map.
