From Sønderborg you are as part of the border country close to the whole of Europe.
Sønderborg is an incredibly beautiful and charming old town surrounded by water and a place provided for sailing tourists. There are also large beautiful forest areas on als and around the area towards Gråsten.
There is a lot of life in Sønderborg, with a pedestrian street and lots of trade and activity. There is now a motorway section from Sønderborg and out to the main road between the border and Skagen and there is also an airport, with which the infrastructure is top notch. With the university and campus, the city is very attractive from home and abroad also due to the city's location.
The area by Sønderborg is very well known both with Gråsten castle and makes the town and the area royal with visits by the royal family. Als, which is a paradise for tourism and sailors, is also an area with an exciting business development with the Danfoss company.
Dybbel mill and Sønderborg have great historical significance and then came back to Denmark in 1920, which is why today it is a well-visited bastion for Denmark and Danishness. Sønderborg Castle and dowel bank are also major attractions in the area.
